What type of Jobs can I do?
There’s a huge range of jobs posted on My Handy Helpers. From home-based jobs such as cleaning, gardening and handyman jobs; to, graphic design and web development tasks. There are also a bunch of interesting tasks as well, for example, wedding help, cake baking or costume making.
How do I get paid?
You can start working on the Job knowing that your payment for the job can be conducted through My Handy Helpers. When you complete the Job and request payment, the job owner will be notified to release a payment for the work. This is then securely transferred to your nominated bank account upon your request. The minimum withdraw is £25.
My Handy Helpers automatically deducts a service fee when the payment is released which is reinvested back into the site to offer a continuous improvement in service.
Who shall I work with?
It’s totally up to you, after all you are your own boss. When browsing jobs on My Handy Helpers, you can look at the Poster’s profile and reviews to see if you would like to help them. You can search on location and types of jobs available on the site. You can choose what jobs you bid on. You have total control.
Is there insurance?
You are responsible for your own insurance when completing work on behalf of job owners. My Handy Helpers may in the future offer an insurance service, so watch this space.
Do I get alerts?
Of course! You get alerted by email every time you bid on a job and when you have been successful or unsuccessful in securing the job. If you are a job owner, you get notified every time someone bids on your job.
How do I win a job?
Here’s a few tips to dramatically increase your chances of submitting a winning bid. When you make an offer, make sure you say why you’d be great for the task. Also, spruce up your profile by filling all the required field and giving as much information about yourself as possible, including examples of past work. Also focus on building a great review profile so you can really stand out from the crowd.
How do I communicate?
You can communicate with Hand Helpers and Job owners from directly within the site. When you have been successful in placing a winning bid, a secure workbench opens up within the site, where the Job Owner and Handy Helper can communicate together and share pictures and files if required.
What is a My Handy Helper?
A Handy Helpers is defined as someone who can complete jobs as posted on the site. Anyone who feels that they can complete a job posted is able to register to the site, create a profile and bid for job. Handy Helpers are strongly advised to make sure that they have all the skill required to complete a job and include as much information as possible about themselves on their profile page. Handy Helpers can gain reviews for work they have completed to increase their reputation. Handy Helpers are also able to receive direct messages from job owners.
What is a Job Owner?
A job owner is defined as anyone who as registered to the site and has posted a job for Handy Helpers to bid on. Job owners can search for Handy Helpers on the site and do not have to wait for a Handy Helper to bid on their work. If a job owner sees a Handy Helpers profile on the site and feels that they can complete the job for them, they are able to message the Handy Helper directly.
